Burdock Root (Arctium lappa, A. minus)

  • staph infections
  • impetigo
  • ulceration of the skin or mucous membrane
  • blood purifier
  • often combined with yellow dock or dandelion

Cat Nip (Nepeta cataria)

  • anti-spasmodic for relieving indigestion and gas
  • mild and specific remedy for infant colic
  • sedative for sleeplessness
  • helps dispel headache and sweating out fever
  • dispels gallbladder attacks
  • relieves cold and flu symptoms
  • fever reducer
  • for diarrhea in children
  • a warm tea will bring on a delayed menstrual period

Chamomile German (Matricaria recutita)

  • calms the stomach
  • improves digestion if taken after a meal
  • calms nervousness
  • promotes a deep sleep
  • soothes depression
  • helps with headaches, muscle pain, sciatica and menstrual cramps
  • given to children with hyperactive problems
  • discourages nightmares
  • inactivates and binds bacteria, fungus and toxins including staph and Candida
  • decreases histamine

Chickweed (Stellaria media)

  • nourishing and strengthening
  • heals wounds
  • cools fevers, infections, inflammations
  • heals eye infections and injuries
  • joint oiler
  • fat dissolver/metabolic balancer

Comfrey Leaf (Symphyton officinalis)

  • speeds healing of broken bones, bruises, pulled muscles, ligaments, sprains,
    ulcerations and shallow cuts; use internally and topically
  • use internally no longer than 3 weeks at a time
  • repairs the digestive tract lining
  • heals peptic and duodenal ulcers
  • heals colitis and hiatal hernias
  • improves digestion if taken prior to meal
  • eases stomach ulcers

Dandelion Root (Taraxacum officinale)

  • helps indigestion and arteriosclerosis
  • spring tonic, somewhat laxative
  • improves the function of the liver
  • blood cleanser
  • diuretic

Echinacea (Echinacea purpurea)

  • immune stimulant that increases overall resistance to disease
  • stops early phases of bacteria/viral infections
  • speeds recovery of colds, flu, and upper respiratory problems
  • not recommended for auto immune disease

Elderberry (Sambucus canadensis)

Elder Flower (Sambucus nigra)

Hawthorn Berry (Crataegus oxyacantha)

Holy Basil-Krishna Tulsi (Ocimum sanctum syn-o-denuflorum)

  • anti-aging effect

Horsetail (Equisetum arvense)

Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis)

Lilac (Syringa vulgaris)

  • mood elevator

Linden Flower (Tillia spp)

  • drink for nervous tension
  • helpful for some migraines
  • can help arteriosclerosis and hypertension

Lobelia (Lobelia inflata)

  • useful for chronic debilitating cough, asthma, emphysema and other lung-related
  • problems.
  • use in marshmallow tea or with demulcent tinctures
  • use only low doses diluted in a cup of water

This is on the FDA's restricted list.

 Motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca)

  • helps nerves
  • heart tonic
  • helps with heart palpitations due to anxiety/panic
  • regulates menstrual cycle
  • regulates hyperactive thyroid
  • calming if you need calming
  • energizing if you need energy
  • for anxiety/panic attacks

Mullein Flower (Verbascum thapsus )

  • helps upper respiratory condition such as bronchitis, asthma, whooping cough, croup
  • relieve inflammation, colitis, diarrhea, chest colds
  • soothing demulcent to upper respiratory tract; gently astringent and expectorant
  • mildly sedative

Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris)

Red Clover Blossoms (Tri folium pretense)

  • spring tonic (blood cleanser)
  • blood thinning alternative
  • supplement to cancer
  • normalizes estrogen levels

Do not take if on prescription blood thinner.

Red Raspberry Leaf (Rubus species)

  • uterine/pregnancy tonic herb

Witch Hazel (Hamamelis virginiana)

  • relieves indigestion and heartburn
  • improves digestion of fatty foods
  • allays bleeding internally and externally
  • relieves urinary tract infections and stones
  • eases stomach ulcers
  • Stabilizes body fluids
  • Anti-inflammatory
  • Mild antibacterial/antiseptic for skin problems

Yellow Dock (Rumex crispus)

  • mild laxative, useful in treating constipation and iron deficiency.
  • cleansing tonic for dispelling toxins from the system
  • improves oily skin and acne, psoriasis, eczema.

Do not take if you have a history of kidney stones
